HD DVD
Video: VC-1 or AVC, VC-1 preferred.
Audio: DD+ 1.5mbps, DTS-HD 1.5mbps, TrueHD, or DTS-HDMA minimum.
Extras: Continue to develop and refine HD DVD's potential in mandatory hardware specs to continue making innovative extras.

Blu-Ray
Video: VC-1 or AVC, VC-1 preferred.
Audio: DD+ 1.5mbps, DTS-HD 1.5mbps, TrueHD, or DTS-HDMA minimum.
DRM: Drop BD+ Advanced Countermeasure from the BD spec.
Extras: Match HD DVD's mandatory hardware requirements. Take advantage of these specs.
Price: No bait and switch on software price, especially BD50. Bring standalones to level of HD DVD with equal features.

OMG! I gonna sit through 2 minutes of previews!!!! ...oh yeah, the transfer of the film looks like complete shit...BUT THE AGONY OF THE PREVIEWS!!!

What difference does it make if it listed #1 or #1000?

Anyway I agree films should get proper restoration treatment (They forgot Lowry ) before the film goes through replication. Paramount so far has been the only studio doing this..
