I'm going to wait for the box set, but I like the specs on that. OOTP was a great rendition of the book. With the exception of the interactive stuff, the main specs are the same.

I think the cover art looks great. Though the hd-dvd cover looks better in this case.

So all 5 come out that day? That's AWESOME.

The first two movie are less interesting and artistic but still enjoyable, and the last three were great. Count me in.

Too bad the movie sucks.

But I will get all of them on BR. Probably for a X-Mas present since it will cost a lot of money and I can be cheap.

They haven't released audio specs yet, it is unknown if it will support a high res audio format.

From High Def Digest:

Warner has not yet released tech specs for the high-def releases, so it's unknown whether or not high-resolution audio will be supported. We'll keep you posted.

The plan, funds permitting, is to get the box set on HD-DVD.

I don’t know if we’ll get the same packaging for HD, but this is what the Years 1-5 set looks like for SD.

I have preordered this anyways, but it would be awesome if all the discs came with PCM lossless on blu-ray.

Is it weird I'll be buying the confirmed stand-alone versions? I don't like the idea of a box set for a series that isn't complete yet.

Huh,

Notice that the BD includes 11 different language 640kbps Dolby tracks compared to the HD DVD which has 3?

I'll probably go HD-DVD on this one, since the last film has IME. Though I don't know if I'll do the box set. The first two films were complete crap. Guess I'll have to decide if it's worth the difference to buy 3-5 seperately or the whole box.

Yeah, I'll get this set and then buy the last two movies separately. No big deal to me, as I am not that OCD to require it to be perfect.

Not me. I'm crrrrraaaazy! I need all the cases to sit neatly beside each other. I also name them and make them tiny sweaters.

You'd hate my collection. It's not even in alphabetical order or grouped in any real manner.

Actually, mine was like that for some time. It was in "biographical" order (when I bought the disc, why I moved the disc there, etc.). Now I have them in categories and I kinda hate it. I don't really like pigeonholing films. I also liking wearing the skin of others.

I think the dog next door is telling you to dust in your home theater room again.
