Yeah, I wouldn't count on the Spielberg movie being released on HDM. In fact, I think you should apologize to Mr. Spielberg for even including it on this list.

Are all those from Studios tied into a specific exclusive contract (like Paramount) or otherwise obviously exclusive (like Sony)...or are there some titles in there from companies that in the time it takes from some of these to be released in theaters then to DVD could potentially switch to BD

Those should all be titles for movies that have exclusive contracts with HD-DVD. That would include Paramount and Universal.

There's at least 4 in that list I'd buy, likely 10 since I haven't heard of many of them.

Neil Marshall's (Dog Soldiers, The Descent) Doomsday looks freakin' awesome.

Doomsday Is Coming...

It looks Like a amalgamation of Escape from New York, 28 Days Later, The Road Warrior, and medieval sword epic...

Might want to check the trailer section before you go hunting down more.

How do you know all of those will be released day and date? This is just speculation on your part. You should change the thread title to "Likely HD-DVD releases in 2008."

I know this has been tossed around before, but I think Lucas would be making the call on Indy :KOTCS. Even though Spielberg directed it, Indy is the property of Lucasfilm. So we might be in for a LONG wait if Lucas sticks to his guns on the whole HD format issue.
