I thought you said elsewhere that the complicated architecture of the Cell processor was what caused games to not come out, and for the ps3 not to do so well. The initial price of 500-600 was steep, but it's gone down. At any rate, gamers want to buy a console that has lots of good games with it. The ps3 library is still in development for the most part.

Indeed, probably won't see the full potential of the PS3 for another year yet. (games)
