Too cool!!! Saw this at the theater and loved it! Can't wait to get it on Blu-ray and listen to it in DTS-HD MA 7.1.

Will be a rental first for me, but maybe a purchase depending on how I like it. Rambo has never been at the top of my Stallone movie list.

Man are people in for a treat for the sound. This thing came close to Cloverfield bass levels at times near the last 20 or so minutes of the film. I tend to think the DTS-HDMA track should be up for the task. Hell i might buy the disc for this reason alone

Ah ultra violence in full 1080p! Here's hoping for a directors cut!

I like that cover art. I would like to see a DC also.

Not a fan of the cover art. Almost looks like an on-set snapshot. I wish they had stuck with this poster art instead

Agreed. Fairly bad photo in itself and will we ever get away from this portrait covers. At least this movie only had one star and they didnt have to plaster a 5 person head shot collage on the cover.

I agree 100%

Looks like an after shoot ad for a pain killer. Shoulder aching after a hard day of slaughtering Vietnamese militia, try Advil. Fast pain relief so you can get back to killing!

this isnt coming out soon enough. Now that I'm all Blu and stuff, this is one of my most anticipated releases.

can anyone confirm that all the ultra violence in the trailer(17MB avi) made it into the film? ... Rambo tears out the throat of the guy about to rape the girl ... Rambo turns the jeep-mounted gun on the jeep's driver, turning him into bloody chunks ... Rambo guts a man... etc

or was it cut down to a family safe R?

Superior Blu-ray in the U.K.? If this is region ABC, I'll probably get this one instead of the Lionsgate.

I'm going to stick with the Lionsgate version. I have yet to buy an import. To me the sd-dvd special features that aren't included won't be that big of a deal. Those things are usually like 5 minutes long each and they just have someone lavish praise on the actors that were chosen. Some of the visual fx stuff is kinda cool, but I won't feel cheated for getting the Lionsgate one.

I'm curious if the digital copy gets special features from the dvd, or if it is just the movie.

So far I believe they have just been the movie and not the extras, which I'm cool with.

I'm a bit confused. Do both versions have a Picture in Picture of the commentary? I noticed it seems to be listed twice on the UK DVD.

Wow. What a painfully idiotic film.

But what gloriously awful violence. Seriously. That was batshit nuts, and some of the most technically adept porn you'll ever see.

I'm with you, I really enjoyed it! It is very over the top, but it sure had me glued to the screen. The DTS-HD MA track is phenomenal! The whole soundscape is very active, with directional effects all over the place. And the LFE is kick you in the chest powerful. Definitely a first rate soundtrack. The PQ also matched the sound, I was very impressed!
