I will never understand why this stuff is popular, let alone why this guy still has a job.

No thanks.

Also, I don't think this stuff is popular anymore, as this was a huge bomb at the box office.

$35.99...the fuck?

Mass adoption won't occur when BD MSRPs hover that high.

Well, we are still in the Beta phase for Blu Ray. It wasn't ready when HD DVD launched, so they launched an incomplete product. With the media marketing blitz, they convinced retail and a segment of the population that it was the future.

Go and see Stranger Than Fiction and you can see why. Sadly though we will probably never see him in that kind of film for some time to come.

There is nothing outrageous about pricing, as if hd-dvds were so drastically cheaper. No one pays MSRP, period, so throwing that number out there is just pointless. You pay a price for getting a new release its opening week. Wait a few months, and you can probably get this movie in a BOGO or price reduction.

He was excellent in Stranger Thank Fiction. In Talladega Nights, not so much.

My problem with Will Ferrel is not that he isnt funny, its just that he needs new material. How is this character any different from the guy in Talladega nights, Blades of Glory, Anchorman etc? Its a funny character, but not in every single movie you ever make.

The same thing could have been said about the Robin Williams, Jim Carrey, etc. comedies of the 80's/90's. Often times it's a penalty of the silly character, and how many different ways can you do silly?
