Blu-Ray audio question

I have been reading the Blu-Ray review or HITMAN and noticed on the Audio section it stated "Enable EX". My question is can you enable EX on a 5.1 HD audio soundtrack (Dolby Tru-HD, dts HDMA/HR, PCM) I have a PS3 connected to an Onkyo TX-SR605G. Whenever i play a 5.1 HD Audio track thats all that comes out of my speakers (5.1 in 5.1 out). Am i doing something wrong??

Do you mean discrete or matrix EX?
