I kinda miss my dvd set. I did a mass purge of all tv box sets. However the Universal HD station comcast has shows Firefly in hd a couple times a week I think. I've caught it a few times.

Well, PCM is on the way out since the last studio that was practically PCM exclusive (Disney) is moving to TrueHD. To me it seems that every bd player has at least a DTS decoder in it, while they don't all have TrueHD decoding. So it's more beneficial for 1st gen players to get the dts-core track than just a standard dolby digital one. I really don't think all bd players decode TrueHD

Well the September 23rd date is no longer a go from what retailers are receiving. Looks like the new date is NOV 11th (link to unofficial listed extras) Looks like a 3-disc set with 5.1 DTS-HDMA audio too boot

Yep, it's confirmed. Here is the hdd link on the story. I have been impressed with Fox's TV show releases so far, as they don't appear to be skimping. I wish Warner would take a hint on the lossless audio part.
