So now that the PS3 will be gettin' DTS-HD MA...?

What will be your first DTS-HD or DTS-HD Master Audio equipped Blu-ray that you will experience after the update?

I'm still undecided...

I'm on a 20Mbit line, and that image took 2 minutes to download.

Man good news on that. Its also a very easy choice for my first pick. The DTS Core was reference as it was so i can't wait for the full blown sound with LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD Trully the best track i have heard so far on both high def formats

It was instant here, and I am on a pretty slow DSL line.

My first DTS-HDMA was Terminator 2 UK HD DVD (HD-A35 bitstream to DTC-9.8) last year. It was nice, though I did an A/B comparison and the difference between it and the core was minimal to be honest.

Again with HD-DVD jabs. Lets leave PS3 threads to PS3 owners. Can you do that?

How is it a jab? I posted my first DTS-HDMA experience... Get over the format war. Your comment doesn't even make sense as Blu-ray players other than the PS3 were able to bitstream DTS-HDMA last year at the same time as the HD-A35 being out, so its not even an HD DVD vs Blu-ray thing.

But, I don't remember the first DTS-HDMA BD title I played on the BD30, to be honest. I had already done an A/B comparison of DTS-HDMA vs. DTS core, so it was not as important.

The thread is specifically titled about PS3 players. You dont have a PS3 so why would you feel the need to post that? You are the one that wont let go. Now that HD-DVD is done you have moved on to ragging the PS3 every chance you get. This thread has nothing to do with your experience with other players. Nothing at all.

No, that is just your misinterpreted perception of my post. My post was about DTS-HDMA, not about the PS3. I did not bring up Blu-ray vs. HD DVD anywhere in my post nor did I bring up HD DVD vs PS3. That was all you.

The over-analysis and conspiracy theories are getting tiresome, really.

The point of this thread is not "lets worship the PS3," its "lets talk about our first DTS-HDMA experience" which happens to be on PS3 for some. For me, it wasn't, so I posted my first experience with DTS-HDMA and what it was like. Again, get over the format war.

This thread is about DTS-HD on the PS3 specifically. Its in the thread title even. SO why do you see a need to post in it at all when you dont have a PS3? The thread is clearly directed at PS3 owners. Reading comprehension, try it out.

My experience was very obviously related to the thread topic. Big deal if it wasn't on the PS3, I wanted to give my input about my first DTS-HDMA experience so I did.

Also, lets not resort to juvenile personal attacks please.

From the OP:

This thread is specifc to PS3 owners, and their initial experience with DTS-HDMA on Blu-Ray next week. The OP didn't ask about the comparison to, or experiences with, DTS-HDMA on dead formats.

Now you are trying to censor people's input if they don't own a PS3? Hilarious!

Sorry, my post was very much on topic, I used a different playback system but it is the exact identical same sound technology. DTS-HDMA on anything is still DTS-HDMA, there is no difference in the encoding at all.

Your response is not related at all. You can try and justify it any way you want. The thread is the PS3 update and the question was asked to PS3 owners. Its plain as fucking day in the first post. You just cant help but stick your nose in every thread about the PS3 even though you don't have one. The only juvenile thing I see here is someone constantly posting about things he doesn't own, cutting and pasting from AVS and claiming everything as FACT.

The thread started asked for PS3 owners opinions. This means people who own a PS3 and will be downloading the update. Whats hilarious is that you feel that isnt important. Its his thread, he asked the question. Your response is not on topic. It cant get any more cut and dried.

Again, the personal attacks are unwarranted.

That being said, its great that many are enthused with their PS3 purchase but that does not make those people part of some exclusive club where others cannot chime in on related topic. Also, explain how posting about the HD-A35 and DTC-9.8 regarding DTS-HDMA is posting about things I didn't own when I owned both of them?

SIGH!

Can we please try to stay on topic here, which, for the record, is DTS-HD use on the PS3.

Now that we’re all clear, please proceed.

Ruined, do you really get a kick out ruining every thread you post in?

If you want to compare the PS3's DTS-HDMA output with other players (regardless of format), start a new thread.

Again, no comparison to Blu-ray in the PS3 was being made anywhere in my post. I simply posted my first DTS-HDMA experience and comparison. I did not even mention the PS3 or Blu-ray in my post. Go back and read it again, that is quite obvious. No amount of extrapolation brings the PS3 or Blu-ray into my post, it was very obviously about DTS-HDMA and what I thought of it.

Am I ruining the thread? Or is it the people who jump all over every comment I make?

Ok.

Seriously, stop this.

We're not going to continue like this.

Every thread does not need to be an argument over formats.

This thread was quite clear in it's intentions. If you want to talk about DTS-HDMA compared on different playback devices start a new thread for it.

But honestly I'm tired of this back and forth crap.

We're all here to have a good time and this sort of thing is not fun. So just, please drop it.

I don't care who started it, we're all supposed to be adults here. So lets just stop this right now.
