One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (BD Book)

Quote:
Warner Home Video has announced the 1975 Jack Nicholson classic One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest will make its high definition debut July 15 on Blu-ray Disc.

We expect One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest to be presented in widescreen 1.85:1 1080p video. Publishing an audio format would be pure speculation so we'd rather wait until the actual format is in hand.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest will be packaged in a Warner "coffee table book" case that includes a 36-page booklet. Other confirmed supplementals include a behind-the-scenes documentary, commentary and additional footage.

Warner will issue One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest on Blu-ray with an SRP of $34.99

I will wait on reviews to see how this will look, but I think I will end up buying it. Great Oscar performances in this movie.

It looked quite good, kinda like The Shining on HD/BD, the couple times I saw it on MojoHD.

I've never really warmed to the film, seems its parts are greater than its whole.

There is that. The ending is somewhat troubling, but I do think that the performances of Nicholson and Fletcher make up for the deficiencies in the film.

Wait a few months, and you will likely get this on sale via the Warner website or on a bogo.

No offense to folks who like blue. Hell, I bought a blue car but, that cover looks like poop to me.

Red would be much better. Hell...aren't most of the HT's here have a lot of red vs. ANY other color aside from black?

Don't mind me, I'm just a disgruntled employee.

Sounds like you're just wanting to torment the color-blind people. Sounds like fun though.

How are the books? Do they sit well on the shelves, or take up too much space? What about the disc inside. Is it in a sleeve or on a hub of some sort? I am not totally sold on the whole book thing.

I wasn't sold either but Bonnie & Clyde book changed that.

The pages are part of the book on the left side.
Yes they do sit well on the shelf.
No they do not take up space. (In fact a little less )
The disc is in a hub & is secure enough to not worry about the disc falling out.

Wow, that upgrade looks great. I think I will get that movie now. I was a bit hesitant on the transfer of such an old film.
