Hellraiser and Children of the Corn for Blu-ray

Home Media Magazine - June 29 - July 5, 2008

On page 24, there is a mention on the end that Hellraiser and Children of the Corn are coming to Blu-ray for October.

I don't know PUTS didn't give me the chills as much as the other two. Actually Hellraiser just felt evil. Kind of like that feeling you get when you watch Event Horizon, Hellraiser just made me feel tainted after watching it. Not to mention that there is real terror in the first one.

Children of the Corn freaked me out as a kid. I still would be creeped out about walking through a corn field alone.

Have guys seen Children of the Corn recently? I'd give it a rent before you drop $30.

I doubt it will be $30. More like $12-15. It seems like the smaller studios like Artisan aren't charging Fox prices for old movies. For that much, why not get a classic movie from my youth. But yeah, it's been awhile since I've seen CotC.

I saw it last month and it was . . . hilarious.

Why do people think these "small studios" will have cheaper prices?

Looking at Starz's BD pricing, the MSRPs will probably range from $30 to $35.

Seriously though, Children of the Corn is a pretty weak title to release so "early" from Anchor Bay's Horror stable. Hellraiser is a bonafide classic though.

I bought Halloween for under $20 bucks when it debuted last year. I don't know why people focus on the msrp's. No one pays those prices, and if they do, they are fools.

Look at Risky Business. The BD's MSRP is $30, so I assume we'll see it for $20 or under on Amazon. It'll be $42 in Best Buy, though.
