From what I've read at AVS, it looks like it will have all the extras ported over from the DC cut on DVD. Don't if both versions will be included.

I think that Fox has changed its tune on the extras. Most of their releases now have full features on them. They will still have the highest prices though.

Luckily I liked the directors cut better, so it works out. I've come to find I'm not the type to rewatch different cuts of movies, I pick the one I like and stick with it.
Can't even imagine the theatrical LOTRs anymore.

I just rewatched the SD version of this, and listened to the commentary track for the first time, and I had forgotten how much different this version is compared to the theatrical cut. The story really is fleshed out more, making the Kingpin more integral to the story, more Matt Murdock scenes to more thoroughly explain how tortured the character really was, and the extended fight scenes that really make it a delight to watch.
To me, this ranks up with the Abyss and Kingdom of Heaven as movies that really benefit from the Director's Cut over the theatrical versions.

I went from thinking DD was ok to pretty good because of this DC... I agree with Plissken that I would never watch the theatrical.
Given my tendency to buy comic hero movies, I will probably grab this at some point. |
