That's according to Home Media Magazine, which is reporting that the $310 million box office smash (the biggest hit of the year so far) will touchdown on Blu-ray September 30, day-and-date with the standard DVD.

No further specs or supplement details are known thus far, but given 'Iron Man's big-ticket action sequences and CGI effects, it seems poised to be one of the season's biggest next-gen hits.

At press time, Paramount has neither confirmed nor denied a release date for 'Iron Man,' but we're told the studio's official release plans are due shortly. Needless to say, stay tuned.

Actually, I think the Omen series is being postponed until October, so that will spare me some. However, I just want all those movies. September is a good month for blu-ray.

Great news but I'm disappointed with Features. Lack of Director's Commentary and Heads Up Display aka PIP (In-Movie Experience, U-Control, etc.)

I will pick up the Steelcase.

This will be 1 of 16 (and rising) BD's I'm buying this September.

Yeah, that cover art is tons better than the first one you posted. I also notice a lot of HD special features listed. Those might actually be interesting to check out.

It's actually a slipcase, the cover underneath just has an image of Downey Jr as Stark. Lovely spoiler image on the back cover there as well.
Bought this blind & watched it last night. Great superhero movie, Downey Jr. was awesome (as ever.)

Figures. It seems to me that Samsung needs to be more proactive with their firmware updates. I know that Panasonic and Sony have been really good with theirs. I think these problems probably come from bd-j.

We've had the DVD's in for almost a week now, but we got a memo at work over the weekend stating that Paramount had recalled all the BD's because they "didn't play." Sounded like it wouldn't make street date, at least at our store.

Apparently there's an audio issue with the Truehd track enabling dynamic compression on certain amps. Easily solved by just switching it back off, but they've recalled it anyway.

My copy plays just fine in my UK PS3.
