US/French HD-DVD Titles at Frys

I am noticing that my Frys (which has been liquidating HD-DVD inventory for a few months now) has a lot of US/French HD-DVD's when only US edition were sold before. Any idea why that is? I just thought it curious.

Probably dumping stock they got from Canada.
