Free DVD version of Sleeping Beauty with Blu-ray release

I considered putting this in the Sleeping Beauty thread, but I think it's newsworthy enough to warrant it's own thread.

When you buy the 2-disc (is there a 1-disc?) Blu-ray version of Sleeping Beauty you get an additional third disc in the box: the DVD version of the movie.

It's basically Disney's way of giving an incentive to people to buy the Blu-ray even before they have a Blu-ray player. Considering how people didn't care for this idea on HD DVD, I'm not sure how it will fly on Blu-ray.

Although one big advantage over the HD DVD scenario is that you get a separate disc. So you can keep the Blu-ray for the HT room, and give the kids the DVD for the regular TV. Or some other version of that scenario.

What didn't fly for me for HD-DVD was that it was on the same disc. I hated flippers on DVD forever and took forever for them to really phase out. So putting them on with HD-DVD was an automatic deterrent. If they had put in two discs from the beginning I probably would have started buying them. As with most things, the concept is fine, the execution sucked.

I can probably get $5 for it on Craigslist...not a bad discount. Thanks, Disney.
