Guns N Roses New Album

Has any one heard when this new album will finally come out? A few weeks ago I thought I saw that it was going to come out after labor day, but since then I have not seen anything about it. The first GnR album is one of my favorite albums of all time and I'm really excited to hear what Axl's new band sounds like.

I read an interview with Axl Rose on Blabbermouth.net yesterday and in not so few words he said he feels he's finally ready to release "Chinese Democracy". Which means we'll probably only have to wait another five years or so.

He also had some choice words for his ex-bandmates. Long interview, check it out.....http://www.roadrun.com/blabbermouth.net/index.aspx

Guns...and...Ros-es? Is that a new band?

I think everyone except the mullet legions have totally lost interest in Mr Hughes, er, I mean Rose....

HAHAHa! just about right on with that prediction

about a week ago Axel Rose turned in a completed cut of Chinese Democracy to whichever label will touch him. no word on if they are releasing it as is.

Source? Not that I think you're lying, I just want to read more about it.

Guns N' Roses finish 'Chinese Democracy' album | News | NME.COM

and wikipidia... which we all know is totally accurate 100% of the time.
Chinese Democracy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I actually heard about it on Attack Of The Show's Feed segment.

Back in the late 90's when I was working at a record store, we always would get in demo CDs from record labels with tracks from various upcoming albums that were due to be released in the next month. This made it vary easy to put all of the latest hit singles on the store's sound system... Just thrown in 6 of these CDs and you'd have all the latest songs that were rockin the pop charts. (ahh my sweet Aqua, Matchbox 20 and Eve6 ... how I miss you guys)

One of these CDs had a track from "the upcoming" Chinese Democracy on it. After a few months of playing some of these CDs, we would no longer need the discs in store as the record companies would have sent another bundle of discs with more upcoming tracks on them, so the store staff would be able to take the old discs home with them. I had heard a lot of people saying that Chinese Democracy was never coming out, so as soon as I could I grabbed the demo disc. I should dig it out and put up the song for all to hear.

Hell yeah you should! I'd be very interested in hearing it. Especially if it turns out it didn't make the final cut of the album...

Scott Weiland has left Velvet revolver to get back together with STP. The big rumor going around is that Slash and Axl have secretly made up and that Axl may very well be new front man for Revolver.

wow- why make him the new front man, just do a G n R tour.

And, the phrase "New G n R Album" always makes me laugh cause it isnt that at all- its Axel and the rejects. Is that guy bucket head still with him?

And, unless he completely updates the sound, it was outdated back in 1995, and that is being generous.

I would love Axel and them to get together- i could give a shit what goes on back stage as long as they kick ass on stage. But, from the last interview I saw with Slash, his comment was that "they are a far way from ever reaching common ground on alot of things, so he can never see a reunion happening cause there is no mutual respect."

While I have always taken his side, isnt it funny he is involved with 2 lead singers who, while in each's own are f-ed up, leave and accuse him of all sorts of shit.

And, has anyone seen Matt Sorum in behind the scenes interviews and stuff- he seems like the biggest whiny pain in the ass ever and could seriously be a toruble maker in groups relationships

Have you all heard how Dr Pepper is getting involved with the huge demand for "Chinese Democracy"?

Everyone in America (except Slash and Buckethead) gets a free can of Dr Pepper if the album is released anytime in the 2008 calendar year.

They even started a blog about it: Chinese Democracy When?

If it comes out, I guess we all get Dr Pepper. Someone can have mine. I hate the stuff.

When (not if) the original GNR get back together for a reunion, I want it to be the original band. That means, no Matt on Drums, and no Dizzy on Keyboards. Although I do think that Matt is a far superior drummer then Steven, I still want the band that gave us AFD. But I dont know how well Steven is these days. I remember seeing an interview with him a few years back and it looked like he was sufferring from some serious stroke trauma with one side of his face fucked up. He had trouble even talking during the interview itself.
