Yup. It's basically a Silver Mt. Zion EP that they recorded for their last European tour, and now decided to release here. But you're right, Efrim doesn't seem to rest at all.

Playa - Cheers 2 U

This has been on my wanted list for a year or so, but it's been OOP. I had a look on Amazon.co.uk yesterday, for whatever reason, and a company in the US was offering a brand new copy for GB £5.50 + £1.24 P&P in the new and used section. I am now waiting for it to arrive.

Edit: It arrived 25th May 2004, finally I have Playa's album! I've only listened to it a couple of times and for the most part I like it. Of the 16 tracks, six are produced by Timbaland and one is co-produced by him, the rest of the tracks except for one of them are produced by the individuals of Playa: Smokey, Black and Static. The vocals and production are nice, but Timbaland's is not his best, not bad though. Timbaland's production reminds me of Ginuwine's first album and Aaliyah's second, 'Cheers 2 U' is from 1998.

On a Wu kick due to Tical 0's release. Figured I would pick up some old on CD. Tical replaces vinyl, and I think that it is still the weakest of the three Tical CDs. (Tical 2000 being the best)

My love for pretentious art rock and "The Prisoner" television series leads me to finally buying (After trying to track down, there's only about 2000 CDs of the entire discography in circulation total.) "The Girl Who Was... Death" by Devil Doll.

The track listing are the titles of every single 'Prisoner' episode, to boot.

I've got her previous albums and saw this cheap, so added it to my collection. Had a quick listen and I like the production.

Excellent choices Diana! All three of these are must haves, especially Strangeways. while it is not my favourite Smiths' record, I think it is much better then most Smiths fans would tell you. It has a number of standout tracks, even if it is the most "commercial" of their LPs. Hatful is a great compilation (as far as compilations go) because it has a number of different takes of songs then their original LPs, some of which are better then the previous versions. Of course, you do have to put up with getting "How Soon Is Now?" again.

Come On Pilgrim, needs no review, its just damn good.
