It's a bit odd that we both got Sufjan Stevens' new one, when the release date is July 5th. I guess selling indie releases early isn't as big a deal as say the new Eminem or something on a major label.

The only indie store in my town has a tendency to put stuff out early, but usually the night before. This isn't the first time though that I've picked something up four or five days before its official release date.

Also, according to the Asthmatic Kitty website:

"Delay on Sufjan's Illinois

Unfortunately we've had to stop selling Illinois due to an legal issue concerning the artwork. We'll post info here on the site when we're reasonably certain about the situation."

I'm guessing maybe because Superman is on the cover. Wonder if they'll have to change it.

I read about the delay after I picked this up. It's definitely because of the Superman image on the cover. Apparently DC didn't like it, so now it's being removed.

Yeah, 'cause the numbers a Sufjan Stevens album is going to pull in is sooooo going to hurt DC Comic.

Sean, is that hot chicks doing violin versions of James Bond themes? Just judging from the title, that's what it appears to be, but I've never heard of that band.

No, Bond is the name of the group. They perform classical music with a modern, techno twist. That said, on one of their albums they do perform a piece called "Bond on Bond" which is 007 inspired. They are hot though, there's no denying that. Looks and talent, mmm.

While I think they've written individual songs in past that are better than anything on Chapter V, I think it's their best album as a whole to date. There isn't a weak track on there.
