no one really knows me here but that isn't gonna stop me from telling you the random cd's i've bought in the lost month or so

Cold Mountain Soundtrack-i'm a big jack white song and most of the songs he sings are good on this-the rest is pretty good too, but the songs sung by the choir are fantastic.

The Velvet Underground-Loaded and White Light/White Heat-got a bit obsessed with them.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah's-Fever to Tell-heard a couple songs and they sounded interesting. not at all what I would have expected them to sound like.

Basement Jaxx-Kish Kash-bought on a whim and it's pretty solid.

Dizzee Rascal-Boy in Da Corner-heard good things, had to hear for myself-overall it's very good.

And I just saw the Shins recently so I'm probably gonna go out and buy their 2 albums eventually.

So there it is. Random isn't it?

A $30 three-pack of Miles Davis's "Sketches of Spain", "Kind of Blue", and "In a Silent Way"... a good deal, definitely.

Got Abe Messiah, the soundtrack for the tv show The Tribe in the mail yesterday. I've listened to it about 10 times so far.

Just picked up:
Blindside: About a burning fire

It is very good, way better than their first album. Plus there is a song with billy corgan and it is great.

Its an ok album. They changed their sound more towards nu-metal and it sounds weird coming from them.

Recently I got some Classical compilation CDs, a Luciano Pavarotti compilation CD, and a Placido Domingo compilation CD.

My Grandad (R.I.P.) really liked jazz (the Duke, Count Basie, Oscar Peterson etc eras), classical, and swing, I took to the jazz and swing quite young (nothing better than a bit of Frank), but only recently discovered the true splendor and beauty of classical music. I've now got so much to learn and discover.

John Kongos - John Kongos (Collectors Choice Music release)

What's interesting about this release is that he uses Elton John's early backup band, at the time, and his producer Gus Dungeon.

Once Upon A Time In Mexico soundtrack. All around great disc, but primarily for the ever-so tasty 'Me Gustas Tu' by Manu Chao.
