Police reunion?

http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/Musi...eut/index.html

One of my 5 favorite bands. Of all long rumored music reunions this is the one I've always wanted to materialize. I only saw them live once, but they made a lasting impression. Those guys were a machine. I'll keep my hopes in check, but this is potentially very exciting news for us Police fans.

Looks like this is the real deal. The band will open the Grammys on 2/11, and strong rumors say a full tour announcement is imminent. Can't wait!

The Police are one of my favorite groups, and having never seen them on tour I am REALLY looking forward to the tour...'m just hoping that they will be within 6 or so hrs of me.

I was unimpressed when they last got together and I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not... saying that, I'll still go just to say that I saw them.

I am glad to see that Sting maybe be eventually crawling back out of his arse which he's been up since the mid-90s.

Hopefully their "blah" performance at the Hall of Fame induction was due to lack of reherssal time. These are 3 great musicians and I think they'll get it together in time.

This whole thing shocks me because I just never thought Sting and his ego would get on board. This all comes after his "rock music is boring" quote a couple of months back. I think it will be good for him to reconnect with being the bassist/singer in a band and not being the entire show unto himself.

I just hope since this appears to be green lit that the band respects the fans and doesn't demand obscene ticket prices.

We can hope but I have a feeling they'll be inflated.

I thought the guys sounded damn good at the Grammys, MUCH better than their HOF performance. A Summer world tour has been announced officially. With more practice time between now and then I'm sure their sound will be pretty tight when this thing kicks off.

June show at Fenway Park in Boston announced Ticket prices are $50-$225.

Not as high as I thought they'd be, but still.

I got my tickets for the Philly show! Made out like a bandit as well -- I was checking out the Best Buy presale codes yesterday and accidentally clicked a link to a different show not knowing that it's one code per member so I thought I was screwed. Turns out my wife has her own card so we got the Philly tickets from hers and I sold the presale code for the other show on eBay for $150!!! Unbelievable

Tickets were $225 and $90 for the rest of the field and the stands.

When folks pay $150+ for a presale code I guess $225 for the premium seats isn't too crazy.

I got tickets to see them at fenway Park here in Boston in July. $95/ticket, which means they cost mr $110 each after the ticket-rapist charges.

I'm envious of you guys w/tix. I saw the Whiskey A Go-Go press conference on VH1 Classic. The few songs they played were great, and they'll only get better. Copeland was hilarious..he looked like The Joker with that smile permanently fixed on his face.
