I'm going to pick up my recording interface today
I ordered a PreSonus FirePod eariler this week and the guy phoned me while I was in the shower this morning to say it's in.
![]() It has 8 balanced inputs with microphone preamps and 8 outputs. I wanted it's bigger brother, the FireStudio, it has Class-A preamps, and can output several independent stereo mixes with zero delay, essentially an 8 bus mixer. But since I could barely afforded the FirePod as is, so no FireStudio for me. ![]() The FirePod will do me good for right now, and they can be daisy chained together for up to 24inputs. |

Just phoned the guy, he has both the FirePod and the FireStudio, but the FireStudio is 300 dollars more then the FirePod, so it's a no go for now. He said I could trade in later though, so when and if I get a job, I'll save up and trade up for the FireStudio at a small loss.

8input 8output soundcard.
I can now record drums properly as well as recording a whole band at once for demos or during live shows. Like mic the kick drum, the snare drum and 2 overhead mics for the drummer, then just mic the rest of the band as per usual. As soon as some thing good is recorded I will give you guys a demo. By the way, I am recording my friend's band, not my own. I have yet to learn the guitar or anything. But I will be buying a (crappy) drum kit and (cheap) guitar in the near future, for both learning, and learning how to mic them. ![]() |
