100 greatest guitar solos of all time

I was searching for stuff today and stumbled across this. I thought it was interesting and decided to share it with my peeps here.

I don't know how old that list is.

Your thoughts?

Peace...

Iggy's gonna be pissed that SRV didn't make the top 10.

HAW! Yeah...I'm a SRV fan but at least he made #13 and #27. Even though I feel Tin Pan Alley shoulda gotten one of those nods.

Criminally ignored. He could blaze the majority on that list.

Yeah Bucket Head is ok if you jut like a bunch of nonsensical notes strung together. Take that Kill Switch and goto town but when you wanna here all the notes take your pick of Vai or Satch.

Listen to Nottingham Lace by KFC Man.

Oh and I love Nirvana, but Smells Like Teen Spirit at #26 is a crime. Also, if you are going to put Guns n' Roses in the top 10 atleast put Sweet Child O'Mine instead of November Rain.

First thing that came to my mind when I read the title of the thread:

Slash. November Rain.

It was #6 on the list. I am okay with that.

Of course I expected to see Hendrix and Clapton in the top 10, and they were. Also nice to see Robbie Krieger in there twice.

Always a subjective thing, best 'whatever' in music, and some of those are there not just due to the solo, but the overall song as well.

Very disappointed to not see Mike Bloomfield at all. One of the top guitarists of the 1960s, often considered equal to Henrix and Clapton at that time, and now seems to have been somewhat forgotten. If you haven't heard of Bloomfield, a listen to Super Session with Al Kooper and Steven Stills is a good start, or a Paul Butterfield Blues Band and/or Electric Flag album.

Someone help me out here. Is this serious or is this sarcasm?

It would be criminal if this guy was on the list.

No I love Buckethead and think he is amazing. I posted to video to prove he is not just weird effects and whatever other opinions are of the guy. It doesn't matter if you think he is just a gimmick, the dude can shred.
