Favourite Album Covers Pt.2
There was an earlier thread but I thought I'd start a new one rather than resurrecting some old 2003 thread.
Let me see your favourites! For me personally it doesn't get any better than this beauty from Zappa. ![]()

Well if i were to go on most recent album covers i would have to say this one is my top pick probably.
Immaculate Machine's - Fables ![]() Listen to the album and the cover art becomes the story of the album itself. Plus i like the water colour design and art of it. Indie Bands/Singers rock.

I would really love to add to this discussion, because I'm pretty old school when it comes to album covers. But at the rate technology is going, artwork for covers will be a thing of the past. We won't have albums or CD's or DVD's. It will just be an electronic file. Maybe somehow, someway art will still be associated with music, but I tend to see it fade away. Maybe that's why we are getting little response here. Most people could care less about the art... and that's truly a shame.
By the way, my favorite albums cover's usually were from artist's like Roger Dean , Rick Griffin ,Storm Thorgerson and Mouse & Kelly to name a couple. |

Since this print was not used for any of the one-sheets and is not available to buy (I actually contacted Struzan) it was nice to see it used for the soundtrack.

Hmmmmm, at one point in my life I actually did study and research subliminal ads, art and advertising.
I was just cruising through amazon and happened upon Motley Crue's DVD cover. Looking at it close and it's hard to see. Step back and check it out and what do you see? ![]() OK, maybe this will help ![]() better? ![]() |
