VAn Halen "Best Of Both Worlds (2 CD)" Glitch?

I was looking for a "Glitch Exhaust" for music... but didn't find it.

I just bought the double "Best Of Both Worlds" 'Best Of' from Van Halen, and as I was listening to the tracks I'd ripped in... "Finish What Ya Started" cut off abruptly and went into the next song.

I thought for sure that it was a glitch from when I imported the track - but after putting the disc back in my drive, I discovered that it's that way on the disc!

I've benefitted from information from this group in terms of getting my Back To The Future & The Godfather sets Discs replaced...

I wonder if there is such a "recall" on this CD set?

Anyone?

Thanks in advance.

Best,

J.

Not a disk glitch just the way the song is. I think it's that way on OU812 also. Its been a while since I listen to that actual album but I think I remember an abrupt ending.

Part of what's so strange about this is that OU812 has the track at 4:25 and it does fade (just checked it on my CD)

The Best Of Both Worlds set has the track being 4:24 - and it just cuts off.

That makes no sense to me.

I guess no-one has heard of a program through WB to get a replacement disc then...

I might call them to see what they say.

I'll let you guys know.

Thanks!

If not, a simple Bell curve amplitude filter applied to the track would fix it. I could even do that for you (I own the same set) on CD. What time does the fade start on OU812?

for now, I'm just keeping my OU812 copy of the track ripped in.

If you have the time, will you check to see if your set has the song cut off?

thanks in advance.
