Holy crap she looks hot, I can't believe they made Raiders 25 years ago considering she looks almost the same. Age has definitely treated Ford and Allen well.

Considering he's in his 60's and she's only in her 50's I'd say he's doing alright.

Although kind of a beergut in that one photo.

Yeah that photo is not the best for Ford... still, seems like a screwey photo... I took some photos of me recently and the lens made me look like freakin' pillsbury dough boy somehow.

I guess 24 year old actor Tyler Nelson didn't really want an acting career after all. He's in Indy 4 & told a newspaper the entire plot. Some spoilers at http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Big-I...lers-6379.html but most have been buried. Spielberg is really pissed & is threatening to cut all scenes with Nelson.

Spoilers I guess... Since he's fighting Russians I would say it takes place in what, the late 50's? McCarthy era? Interesting.

That kid Tyler Nelson obviously enjoyed being the big fish in the little pond of his small home town in Oklahoma. Talk about a quick lesson in how to blow your career. This guy should have spoken to Tobe Hooper about how catty Spielberg can be. Not only that, Speilberg's a freak when it comes to keeping film things secret. He must have had some kid tell everyone what the story was on one of his 8mm pre-teen projects, then didn't get the audience response he wanted, leaving him emotionally scarred.

That whole thing about lawyers coming in to shut up a news outlet is all bull. The news media doesn't have any obligation to keep things secret once they learn the story, and they have a constitutional right to report news. About the only thing they can get into trouble with is spilling classified government information that consequently causes death and injury. Any private group or corp keeping some kind of secret had better keep a lid on it themselves because once the news media gets it, they pretty much can do what they want with it.

The studios however tend to shut down big media outlets with threats of no more interviews, no more exclusives, and no more premier passes to those outlets. Like in LA, the KTLA celebrity sycophant, Sam Rubin, gleefully reported on this same story of the kid who spilled the beans, but then also said that he wouldn't give away the story on air when discussing the Indy film itself. Rubin seems to always loves to see these type of small-fry get some sort of come-uppance. Of course he won't tell the story, as no news outlet with any need for Hollywood perks would go against Spielberg and the studio fascists. They all forget their duty to reporting the story regardless when faced with losing that sweet celebrity inside spot. Well, TV news isn't news anymore anyway.

Regarding the Indy 4 film, since it's set in 1950s South America, that means NAZIS! after all, I bet. There will probably be some sort of 'renegade' Soviet group hooking up with the Nazis hiding out, a group who thought Hitler was right and that the USSR should have been on his side. After all, tell me what's the difference between Hitler and Stalin?

BTW, I can't wait for future installments of Indy updated to modern times where he takes on the modern day Nazi-styled fascists.

No, not the Islamic extremists, but the real fascist threat according to Hollywood: White trash gun-owners hiding out in Montana who just refuse to pay their income taxes! That's the real threat to American society.

This Tyler Nelson guy is a dick. After waiting two decades, Indy fans don't want to hear every detail of the plot beforehands. He should have all his scenes cut.

Wow, how stupid can you be. So this kid was an extra, was he even listed in for the movie or just a backdrop? I only find two Tyler Nelson's on IMDB and neither one mentions Indy. I guess if he is going to be acting in the future it will be under a different name.

I don't care about hearing the plot beforehand or not, but I get it that some fans wouldn't like to.

Personally, if I was a reporter, I'd do whatever I could to get the story and the plot. If I was a producer, I'd probably do whatever I could to stop the leak too.

Cutting the kid's scenes is typical Spielberg retribution. Stupid kid will probably try to change his name like said above, but he's such a dope he'd just change it from Tyler Nelson to Nelson Taylor.

So in my dream last night, Shia LaBeouf played Indys son, but Indy wasn't played by Harrison Ford. Instead, Indiana Jones was portrayed by Tim Allen.

It was a rhetorical question, as there's no real difference, but feel free to answer regardless.

I can say if it was pointless. Do you want to know?

Also, dude gets arrested for trying to sell stolen photos, etc, of the new Indy feature to internet news-sites. None of them accepted and he gets turned in, for they have the fear of Spielberg in them!

Some bits of news from Comingsoon.net

Quote:
Earlier today, ComingSoon.net had a chance to talk to director Steven Spielberg about next summer's highly-anticipated Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, starring Harrison Ford, Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett, Ray Winstone, Karen Allen, John Hurt and Jim Broadbent, as well as his other projects in the works like Tintin and the Transformers sequel.

Before we met the remarkable and legendary director at the Amblin offices on the Universal Studios lot, we were shuttled to craft services near the set for lunch. While we weren't allowed on-set, which was somewhat disappointing but understandable, we did catch a glimpse of Harrison Ford in full costume grabbing a bite to eat as we left the area and that made not seeing the set quite alright. He appeared to be amazingly fit in his Indy outfit and we couldn't believe how great the 64-year-old looked as he quickly flashed his award-winning grin.

A few minutes later, we met Spielberg in a private screening room where he enthusiastically greeted us sporting his usual dressed-down-with-ball-cap look. Spielberg was gracious with his time and while he talked with us a few minutes, he was upfront about not wanting to answer any questions about the movie. Of course as journalists, we had to try and this is what we got:

Production is two days away from wrapping and the director raved about how great it was to have Ford back and how amazed he was that he did the majority of his own stunts. He said, looking back to the last film, which was 18 years ago, he couldn't tell the difference between the action star from then to now because he's still that good. He also told us that the Russians are the villains in the film and he hired Russian actors to ensure accuracy with their accents.

He went on to say that the fourth installment of the "Indiana Jones" franchise is shot on film and not digital, despite Lucas' encouragements of doing so because he is old-fashioned, and he added that if the people before him, who he considered great directors, did it on film then that's good enough for him.

Spielberg then talked about what a great addition Shia LaBeouf has been and how he's been doing all of his own stunts, too. Speaking of LaBeouf, Spielberg told us there are going to be multiple "Transformers" films that the hot young actor is signed on to do and that there's already a story for the second one, but production depends on the pending writer's strike.

In addition to Transformers and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the industrious director talked about Tintin, a project he's working on with Peter Jackson, based on the popular graphic novels by Belgian artist Hergé. He said that as of now there are only two directors with Jackson directing the first installment, himself directing the second movie, and if they don't hire another director, the two would co-direct the third. Jackson will shoot his movie in New Zealand and Spielberg will shoot in the States, and Spielberg said the two are very collaborative and that the film will be using motion-capture, which is still new to him.

As if meeting Spielberg in person and listening to him talk wasn't enough, he also signed limited edition "Indy 4" posters for all of us. It was a great afternoon for everyone, to say the least.

Man Pleads Guilty in Indiana Jones Theft

Smart
Quote:
Source: The Associated Press
November 2, 2007

A man who schemed to sell stolen computers and photographs used for Steven Spielberg's upcoming Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has pleaded guilty to two felony counts, according to The Associated Press.

Roderick Davis, 37, of Cerritos pleaded guilty Thursday to receiving stolen property and commercial burglary. As part of his plea deal, he will serve two years and four months in state prison.

He would have faced at least four years in prison if convicted of the charges, the District Attorney's Office said.

Davis was arrested Oct. 4 in West Hollywood during a sting operation by detectives who learned that some of the stolen material was being offered for sale to several entertainment gossip Web sites.

They posed as potential buyers for the images and set up a meeting. When Davis arrived, they took him into custody.

I agree

oh!I agree that Ford and Connery are too old. Connery doesn't even need to be in it except for having the name "Sean Connery" in the opening credits.
But the reason I least want to see it is because I know Lucas and Spielberg will use mostly digital effects as that is the trend. I'd rather not get a fourth movie than get one that's visually inconsistent with the first three.

Spielberg claims he's using as few digital effects as possible, which is encouraging.
