One thing about the suit: remember that it will most likely be shrouded in darkness for the majority of the movie. I'd be very surprised if we ever see it as completely lit as in that picture.

Indeed, that's way too "busy". Why the hell does Batman needs fancy engravings on his body armor when it's just going to get scuffed to hell every night while trashing back alley muggers?

Just stick the bat symbol on a goddamn spandex body suit. Batman: The Animated Series remains the best when depicting Bats' costume in an elegantly understated manner.

True and I'll also forgive the suit knowing that the actor inside of it will at least be more comfortable and be able to do more in it.

Also keep in mind Nolan has said that this new suit is not in the whole movie, something changes that necessitates Bats getting a new suit. So if it's for the story sake I'll give it a pass. Nolan and Bale know what they're doing.

Like some kind of chest injury that requires his nipples to be able to breath....so they overlay that area with mesh instead

I was reading a response from the dude that runs batmanonfilm.com and he has a good point on the pics. They are likely promotional shots for merchandise....aka toys.

I really hated the Batman Begins costume. At least this one has a better level of contrast between the greys and black. And hey, Batman will be able to move his arms and head freely!

"Hated"? I disliked it but didn't hate it. I guess I haven't been thrilled with any of the suits thus far and while this one does allow for far more movement (which is good) it makes his neck look too skinny as a result. Meh....maybe like someone mentioned earlier it won't be bad when viewed in the darkness of the film.
