Just got this email:

If someone were to tell me four months ago that Harvey Dent was going to win by the biggest margin in Gotham City history, I would have directed him to Arkham Asylum. But that’s the big story today. Thanks to the incredible efforts of people like you, we have changed the fate of Gotham City.

Harvey Dent won every precinct, every neighborhood, every demographic, and every gender and age group. His sweeping victory shows just how far the desire for real change goes in Gotham City.

This is not just Harvey Dent’s victory, it’s your victory. You passed out flyers, rallied, marched, created political videos, and got out and voted. You made your voices heard. And today, the entire world can hear you. Today, “Take Back Gotham” is not just a slogan – it is a reality.

This is the last campaign email we’re sending out. Now, we turn our energies to the hard job of fighting and winning the war on crime and corruption. We’ll need your help – to keep the pressure up on the politicians, to show the criminals our will, and to support Harvey Dent’s crackdown on corruption.

Together, we will save Gotham City.

Well if your comcast On Demand is the same as mine goto Movies & Events and there's a page called The Dark Knight. I just checked and there it was.

Edit: Ummm I just watched something in that on demand channel called Gotham Knight - Field Test. WOW! that was awesome. Is the dvd for that and the other 5 animation shorts out yet?? I could have watched that for another 2 hours if the story would have gone on.

Here's an interview with Nolan. No spoilers. Nothing major either just something to read.

OK update time. The trailer that was leaked onto the net this past week WILL NOT be on Get Smart. Dark Knight will be playing with the film but just not that trailer

Linked video? I saw no video from that game site. I have seen "leaked" trailer that SilentBob is speaking of. It's one of the features on the Comcast on-demand site. It's pretty much a re-ordering of scenes from the last trailer. There were one or two quick new scenes and some new audio, but nothing drastically different.

its an Acme Security Systems camera(a company which has something to do with the viral marketing and the film's plot) and some Gotham dock footage. before the camera goes to static it gets bumped by someone... I am sure the video will be updated with new footage within a few days.

Here is another interview, this one from Latino review and with the Mayor of Gotham City:

Link.

And a snip from said article - I told ta! I TOLD YA!

Quote:
LatinoReview: I know some folks who have seen the film and tell me that when you see Ledger playing the role he is The Joker.
Carbonell: Exactly, he has apparently fleshed out that character, in his own way obviously, but to the point where he left a major impression on so many people who have already seen it. In fact I just spoke with someone from Warner Brothers who told me that it's absolutely Oscar worthy. It's an unbelievable and breathtaking performance.

Probably the best tv ad yet

Also i can confirm that the movie is indeed the 152 minutes long and tickets should be on sale starting any time this week. My theater just got the go ahead tonight to start selling advance tickets and advertising it. (PG in Ontario violence, scary scenes, not recommended for children) No word yet on midnight screening though

I read some Oscar buzz a few days ago (sorry, newspaper, no link) and it got me wondering how often, if ever, regular Oscars are awarded posthumously. I'm pretty sure they've awarded the Lifetime Achievement ones to people no longer alive, but not sure if it's done in the regular categories.

The Academy is a sentimental bunch, and if it's allowed I can see him being a lock unless an obviously super-worthy performance comes along.

Thanks Silent Bob. It's nice to see they aren't giving a whole lot more away as many of the spots have repeating footage. The next 22 days are going to seem like a lifetime!

HA HA HA TIMES

That Joker....he's one crazy dude.

Expect reviews to start coming out for the movie already. A guy on IGN Boards has seen it already with an early press screening. He said its OSCAR worthy of best picture and Ledger a shoe in for acting.

Oh and about Two-Face length in the film
Spoiler (Highlight or Triple Click to Read):
he said he in a lot more then he thought. Roughly the last 30-40 of the film to be exact

Rolling Stone review, contains spoilers:

The Dark Knight : Review : Rolling Stone

Final paragraph:

Quote:
No fair giving away the mysteries of The Dark Knight. It's enough to marvel at the way Nolan — a world-class filmmaker, be it Memento, Insomnia or The Prestige — brings pop escapism whisper-close to enduring art. It's enough to watch Bale chillingly render Batman as a lost warrior, evoking Al Pacino in The Godfather II in his delusion and desolation. It's enough to see Ledger conjure up the anarchy of the Sex Pistols and A Clockwork Orange as he creates a Joker for the ages. Go ahead, b***h about the movie being too long, at two and a half hours, for short attention spans (it is), too somber for the Hulk crowd (it is), too smart for its own good (it isn't). The haunting and visionary Dark Knight soars on the wings of untamed imagination. It's full of surprises you don't see coming. And just try to get it out of your dreams.
