I'm probably showing my fanboyism. Sorry Monty, no hard feelings bub?

I am expecting a huge amount from this flick and I can see how I and others should temper that enthusiasm.

I just cant though. If this movie fails to do what I expect then I'll simply but a bag of Carrots. Don't be onine if that should happen.

I have some of those 6:00 am tickets in Eagan, MN already. And tickets for later in the day as well. I took the day off for this.

I have to work at 9am that day, so I’m really hoping they're going to have some Thursday evening shows, like they did for Iron Man. I really hate midnight show audiences.

I tried to get the day off as well, but I wasn't fast enough and, of course, someone is taking their vacation next week. Don’t they know that it’s fucking Batman week?!

I just find it amusing that every single summer has that one film that's already enshrined as the BEST [blank] MOVIE EVER!!! before it even opens. Yes, Batman Begins was a very good movie, and, yes, Dark Knight looks like it could very well be an excellent sequel that improves on it's predecessor, but, honestly...TAKE A BREATH, people. I don't want this movie to disappoint, but every single summer has that one (usually more like two or three) "sure thing" tentpole film that always gravely disappoints even after it rakes in $200 million.

Well yeah its too be expected any summer movie season, but the Oscar hype for Ledger and just the amazing word of mouth from early press screenings haven't yet said anything bad about the film. Yes i'm hyped as hell and really who isn't from the awesome viral/tv spot campaign. I just get that "Oh god that is going to awesome" from the simple presence of the Batmobile being on screen. Give me 5-10 minutes of it on screen and already i would be a happy happy Batman fanboy geek

Have you heard that there is going to be a Batmobile. It would be great if the Prowler gets blown up and we see a new one. Toys-R-Us already had one toy for sale that looked like a movie spoiler to me...

Spoiler (Highlight or Triple Click to Read):
Bruce Wayne's Lamborghini is tricked out with guns, launcher and the like.

I don't doubt it. I just bought my ticket for the IMAX in Nashville, since it isn't showing at the IMAX here. I had to go up there before the 30th anyway. I thought I might as well make the most of it.

If you take a walk down the Spider-man 3 memory lane thread you will see that there were a number of criticisms regarding the effects as seen on the trailers. Also, there were alot of negative comments regarding the choice of criminals and basically, the whole concept in general. That hasn't seemed to be so apparent with the Dark Knight. For the majority of time DK has garnered nothing but positive buzz pre-release. Rolling Stones movie critic (who I deem as a knob) gave it a 3/5. He seems to diss many of the movies I like so...

The only reason I am not completely sold on TDK is that it has 2 huge villains, and I guess a third thrown in as well. It seems like a lot to deal with, and any time previously a super hero movie added more than one main villain, the film was a step down.

I trust Nolan to handle it well... but it still remains a factor, and makes the movie not a sure thing for me.

(And I liked Spider-Man 3, on a fundemental level. It was crap compared to 2 though, for sure).

I think Harvey will be Harvey for the majority of the film, though. They seem to be following The Long Halloween pretty closely in terms of his arc, so I doubt we’ll see Two-Face until at least the second hour. It’s still the Joker’s show as far as I can tell.

We didn't see Venom until the second hour of SM3, either, and Dent will get a ton of screen time before he turns, I am sure.

It is still a lot to juggle.

I agree, but since Venom was tacked-on due to the studio forcing Raimi’s hand (or so we’ve been told), I’m sure Nolan has actually structured the script to handle his multiple focuses.

Check out the front doors to my local theater. They have two 12:01 showings, two 1:00 am showings, a 3:15 am showing, and a 6:00 am showing so far....
