Bale's sister and mother have him up on assault charges
Looks like Bale's sister and mother are trying to cash in on his growing popularity.
I would like to be fairly certain that this is NOT true!

That's too bad, as I really enjoyed his Incredibly Strange Film Show when it broadcast here in the states, though watching him with his slight British lisp interview the heavily accented Jackie Chan was pretty funny.

If you suffered listening to the same depressing bullshit for 27 years you would too.
Still, very much looking forward to TDK on Thursday. Pity there's no IMAX cinema around here, but then again...Scotland IS shit. Shawn

F***!!!
Been sick all week, couldn't see the movie. Finally feeling better, and planning to see TDK Friday night with the wife, when all of a sudden... We get a phone call from our best friends; our best friends with young kids... They called to say that they got a baby-sitter for Friday night and are dying to see "Mamma Mia", which my wife, oh so generously offered for us to see with them. F***!!! I have no qualms about seeing "Mamma Mia", and even said it to my wife, but implicitly stated that I did not want to see it in the theatre. I would wait for the DVD release. I told my wife that she could go and see it with her friend; a ladies night out. Now I'm sucked into this. I have to go, because they are the friends who never go to the movies, so this is a real treat for them. God, I feel like a schmuck... The Joker's behind this; I know it... F***!!!

Dude, ditch the wife. Ditch the kids. Ditch the friends.
Then, when your wife and friends ask why you ditched them, cock your head to the side, grin and say, "why so serious?" And then murder them all.

Just got back from seeing this. Absolutely fucking brilliant. I can honestly say there wasn't a single thing i didn't like about it. Hugely hyped, yet it not only met my expectations, it surpassed them.
Ledger in particular, was amazing. You just didn't have any idea what he was gonna do next & i was on edge every time he was on screen. I hope Nolan does a 3rd, but i dunno how he's gonna top this. |

Called her and told her. First response? "Oh no, I forgot to tell her that you wanted to wait..." Then, laughing, lots of laughing...

Well I just saw this earlier today. 1st my disgust, I drove across town to see this at the Imax, left at 10AM to catch the 12PM show, got there at 10 till 11, only to find that not only was every showing that day sold out(Thursday no less), but every showing through Sunday is sold out! Well pissed as I was, I decided since I came all that way, I saw it on a regular screen(the 11:10 show)... with no bass and orange ropelighting on the stairs that made the blacks orange. Add 4 talky senior citizens who are still shocked at oncreen violence sitting directly behind me in a nearly empty fucking theater(one of whom's cell phones rang twice), and you've got every single reason why I hate going to the cinema anymore all in one sitting.
The movie itself was completly amazing however. As MrE26 said, as hyped as it was and as high as my expectations where, they were surpassed! I don't see how any hero film, super or otherwise can ever top this. And Ledgers performance is just amazing, no other Joker even compares(sorry Jack, you know I love you), and I don't see how they can ever fill those shoes. Since you have to purchase Imax tickets in person, which means two trips to Dallas, I will wait to see this again at home on Blu Ray(where the experience puts even Imax to shame), hard as that will be.

these kinds of records will soon become meaningless. With the price of tickets going up every year there are fewer and fewer tickets being sold every big summer movie will out do some record or another.
