Wow...f-ing awesome! I love the way WB is marketing this movie. The official site of TDK now links (once you click the pic) to the I Believe in Harvet Dent site which is very interesting.

And the unofficial Joker site is a trip! Kudos (assuming it's legit) to whoever thought that up. It's like they are establishing Bats & Harvey together against the Joker via websites which to me is brilliant!

I suspect they will be running a full blown fake campaign for Harvey on his site and the Joker site will mock him via his....I can't say enough on just how frigging cool this is.

The new Ledger-Joker...crap, that is one sick looking dude. This movie will be hella fun, but the next 424 days are gonna take oh so long to pass.

In case people don't know, "I believe in Harvey Dent" is a big line from the very popular The Long Halloween comic series. I'm sure Batman or Bruce Wayne will say it for the campaign, causing Joker to mock it.

That picture just creeps me out. When I first saw it, it wasn't what I imagined but now I just start to shiver when I see it.

Damn. Creepy

I wish I could find that quote but of the 13 books, I can only find 1 of 13 and low and behold the opening page is eerily similar!

"I believe in Gotham City"

Ha! I am sooo stoked for this flick!

It is, but I believe Bats says it earlier on, in an internal thought dialogue or something.

In any case, good to know Nolan loves The Long Halloween. And yeah, that pic is badassery.

I guess I'm weird because I just don't care about these kinds of marketing things at all, even though this would be top among the movies I look most forward to in the next... I dunno... century.

Loved the HAHAHA all over the page, but never noticed it until it was posted on the IGN boards. There is a hidden line in all the mess, and it spells out "see YOu In DECeMbER" Man its only May and i'm already in love with the film.

But what does it mean? The movie doesn't come out until July 2008. Maybe it has something to do with the story itself.

I give the Joker look a also. Very interesting. Heath Ledger has a big grin..behind that look the creep factor could be pretty high. I wonder what kind of voice he may choose? I love the way this is shaping up so far.

Rumors are we will see a teaser attached to Harry Potter this coming July 13th. Its suppose to be cards slowly fall down with a voice over by The Joker and ending with the Batman logo. So i think when it says See You in December i think that is when we shall see The Joker in trailer form and not just his voice.

Anthony Michael Hall has signed on as a villian. Let the speculation begin.

Anthony Michael Hall is playing a villain

Tuesday, May 21, 2007 - 5:23 AM, 5:27 PM CENTRAL TIME: Yesterday, I told you that a scooper told me about the casting of Anthony Michael Hall several weeks ago and I kinda sorta blew it off. Well, I had to eat a bit of crow on that one. Anyway, this scooper emailed me overnight to tell us that AMH is definitely portraying a villain in THE DARK KNIGHT. Now the question is which one? A classic Bat-rogue or one created for TDK? I'm guessing it's the former myself. Unfortunately, our scooper doesn't know exactly which one. BOF'ers are guessing up a storm -- spitting out just about every Bat-baddie in the book. Our guy is trying to find out, so stay tuned...

I thought Victor Zsasz who was shown in BB would be a great choice to carry over into TDK. But hey...it's The Clown Prince of Crime this time around and my gut tells me Two Face won't be introduced until late in TDK. So that's at least two villains for this movie.

Now, given Nolans way in BB by introducing The Joker at the end, I'm gonna guess this dude AMH will have a similar intro for TDKReturns (or whatever they call #3).

Clayface?
Dr. Kirk Langstrom? (aka ManBat)
Waylon Jones? (aka Killer Croc)

Or, for #3 do they make full circle with Ra's al Ghul?

Who the hell knows, and as far as multiple villains....I think Ganthc nailed it. It's possible, just a bit more tricky. My personal feelings is not to have more than two, and one being given the most screen time, but hey, that's just me.

BB did an awesome job with its villians because the stories were developed independently and then there was a small tie in at the end when we discovered that only one was truly a formidable villain. Have too many is just too hard to do, especially going the old team up route.

Who were truly the villains in X-men 1....It was magneto. Though their was a group, he was truly the villain...so thats one with some additional minor characters. Superman 2, still a group, with one main villain, ZOD. He led, he made the decision, and the others followed. I dont think these are good examples of how multiple villains can work. We can look at Spiderman 3, for example. Each villain had an independent storyline developed and it just did not work. In my opinion, you need a main, and some completely secondary.

I most see Anthony Michael Hall villain the KillerCroc role (based on his look alone). Penguin doesnt work for me. Clayface is possible, though I automatically think of Michael Mann for that.

Well, if BB was able to handle two villains, especially with independent storylines and agendas, then I'm sure The Joker and whoever can also have different agendas.

Maybe, but there were obviously multiple enemies and multiple enemies, and it didn't suck. Except for Storm.

But there was also Luthor to contend with as well. But still multiple enemies for Superman, and I thought Superman 2 was the best one.

I would think that TDK would go for more obscure Batman villains, like with Scarecrow and Ra's al Ghull. But with the Joker as the main enemy, I could see another more well known villain come out. If I was good at photoshop, I would photoshop the Riddler outfit over AMH's picture, and you would see that he could very well be The Riddler.
