The Ruins
I like B-movies as much as another B-movie fan, but The Ruins is just plain... plain. Couple of gross scenes, but all in all a movie that left me flat. I will admit I read the book and thought WTF, but I didn't think they would translate it into WTF. Specifically when it jumps the shark of the plants talking. Don't worry, this is really not a spoiler. It's just a huge suspension of belief. To much to even begin to recommend it to anyone else.

when you look at the title quickly, it looks like "The Runs" so I thought it was about deadly diarhea.
probably would have been a more interesting plop, I mean plot. "oh my god, look out for that piece of corn !" |

Just finished reading the review of The Ruins by Kenneth J. Souza. Obviously we saw two completely different movies. Kenneth’s description while enticing has my head needing a scratch. He saw something I did not. While I understand why he thinks the way he does, the book or the movie just doesn’t provide enough to make it compelling. Maybe a second viewing? I dunno. Just seems my feeling towards the movie was consistent with many others. Then again, there were people who thought like the reviewer.
