Synopsis: "Dragonball" is adapted from the manga created by Akira Toriyama; the work was also turned into a Japanese anime series that played all over the world. It tells the story of an alien sent to destroy Earth, who has a change of heart and decides to join the humans in their fight against various aliens and bad guys. Justin Chatwin is starring as the hero Goku, while James Marsters will play the villain Piccolo in the sci-fi adventure.

I didnt know the show was still popular. I remember my little brother talking about this nonstop like five years ago. Then again, someone at work told me that Pokemon is still popular, so anything goes, i guess.

I can't tell you how many grown men in my office spend hours a day training, trading and battling "pocket monsters" on their DS systems.

Either way, adding ChowYun-Fat doesn't give this movie any credible.

You'll have to wait for Inuyasha the movie, or just rent any recent Japanese grindhouse picture. I've heard The Machine Girl is worth a look.

Anime is growing in popularity, so obviously the hollywood mainstream wants to start making money off of it. I believe Akira and Robotech are also headed for development.

I'm a complete anime freak, so I will give all of these movies a chance.

uhm, isn't that eliminating the point of anime. Why not released some feature length anime in theaters instead of having to convert everything to live action.
