The Princess and The Frog

Disney has a new 2-D animated movie coming out December 11th. I'm loving the look of the classic animation and I think it's cool that Disney decided to do another classic fair tale story. Here's the trailer, what do you all think?

I will likely wait till it comes out in blu, but I am looking forward to it. Not sure about the story as much, but I think it looks interesting.

I'm just thrilled to see Disney returning to their bread & butter hand-drawn days. Hopefully the movie is sucessful enough to encourage more animators to pick up the pen and ink and put down the computer mouse pad every once in a while.

I think the story is pretty creative, instead of the frog turning into a prince they're having the princess turn in to the frog, I thought it's a cool twist on a classic fairy tale.

As for the 2-D animation, I think it looks great and am pumped to see it in theaters. It's crazy to think that this will be some kids first 2-D animation in movie that they see in the theater, due to the big 3-D animation boom.

The film was part of the Disney animation Comic Con panel a few weeks ago, so I just wanted to bump this thread with some recap from the panel. The writer over at Screen Crave had some awesome things to say about it. He really liked the animation, said it reminded him a lot of the Disney classics, and that apparently the music also had a nostalgic feel. Check out the full coverage here.
