A Christmas Carol

The release date for this one really snuck up on me! Crazy to believe that it's coming out this Friday. I'm looking forward to seeing Jim Carrey play Scrooge as well as the Ghost's of Christmas past, present, and future. I hope he gives a great performance so his name gets lumped in with Alastair Sim and George C. Scott, both of who were great Scrooges.

Why? Historically, the first big Christmas movie of the year gets released on the first frigging weekend of November.

Anyways, I despise Zemeckis' obsession with creepy mocap technology. It Carrey were playing Scrooge under a ton of makeup, I could accept this, but I HATE those eerie, blank eyes.

Yea, I guess your right, with Thanksgiving only a few weeks away, the holiday season is right around the corner. Apparently the motion capture in the film actually really helps the experience. From the reviews I read, they said that because it was filmed with motion capture that when Scrooge is flying through the streets with the ghosts, it feels almost as if your on a roller coaster. I think it should be really cool to see in 3D.
