Underworld (R2 UK)
This is due for release on Feb 16. Although the extras appear to be the same as R1, the UK release is on two discs:
The UK cover art: ![]() I think I prefer the R1 cover, looks less busy: ![]() The R3 version is in DTS, but seems to lack extras. Last edited by MJZ : 02-03-2004 at 09:01 AM. |

I bought this for my Dad for his Birthday.
The UK R2 version is a two disc set. Disc one is the film and has two commentary tracks, one with the directors and writers, and the other other is a technical commentary. Disc two has all the extras and they appear to be lifted form the R1 release. There is no trailer, but there are two TV spots. I was wondering why the UK had a two disc treatment and it's probably because along with the commentaries on disc one, the feature is presented in 5.1 DD and 5.1 DTS. In my previous post I thought I preferred the R1 cover art, well the UK one has grown on me. The cover is shiny, you cannot get the effect from an online picture, but if you move it in the light it has a holographic shine to it without actually being a hologram. The DVDs themselves are just silver with black printed writing on them and 'Underworld' is the same font as the cover art. The discs' presentation is quite good and looks polished. I flicked through some of the scenes in DTS and the soundtrack certainly packs a punch. Last edited by MJZ : 02-19-2004 at 08:07 AM. |
