I hear this is out on DVD in a region other than 1 correct? Also, I wonder if the R1 will be the same as this, or cut somehow, hmmm, either way the movie looks pretty good.

Movie looks like it's worth a blind buy!

2004.12.27 - Opening in Los Angeles on December 31st is Sky Blue, an epic anime feature film from South Korea that was originally released as Wonderful Days in 2003. The film expands to theaters nationwide on February 18th, 2005.

Seven years in the making, this "breakthrough in animation" employs a new technology called "Multi Layered Animation." CGI backgrounds and traditional 2D character animation are repeatedly layered and shot with digital cameras to create a more dynamic look. A similar mixture of cutting-edge CGI and cel animation can be seen in Mamoru Oshii's visually stunning Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence which was released in theaters back in September of 2004.

Sky Blue is being released in the US with English dubbing, however this was the intent of the creators who had originally envisioned separate versions of the film for Korean and English-speaking markets. Also, the original version has been re-edited and given additional sound and music scoring.

true, but figure in theater february, ahhhhh, 4-5 months for a dvd release date...that's a LONG time
