Avp: Two Disc Extreme Edition R3

Nice package ala I ROBOT & TDAT. One side of the silver box has an embossed Alien and the other has an embossed Predator.

Disc 2 has a ton of extras which I don't have time to specifically list. Mainly featurettes, Art, Making ofs, FX, HBO Special, 2 Easter Eggs, various teasers etc etc etc.

I liked the flick back in August and look forward to watching both discs this weekend.

I assume that this is the one you're referring to?

AvP 2-Disc (Korean)

I'm thinking of pre-ordering this as well. Can you give us a brief review on the quality of the transfer after you've seen it? This might help in determining which one I should spring for (R3 vs R1).

It'll be exactly the same transfer, as it's released by 20th Century Fox, sans any edits potentially made by the local censorship board.

I doubt there is any censorship to it.....
or I wouldve heard about it. The movie was PG-13 in the US.....
no problem for somewhere like South Korea.

On March 7th in the UK they will also put out a 2-disc Extreme,
and also a Limited 2-disc with Tin Case

Is the 2-disc version in tin case still on tap for release? HMV's UK site has cancelled folks' pre-orders, and Play.com doesn't have their pre-order link active at this time.

I got my HK R3 in two days ago. I don't know where this Extreme Edition is coming from, though. Mine had a slipcase, but it wasn't silver and it didn't have the embossed characters. The discs sound the same. The extras disc has about 3 hours worth of video material.

Simple. My copy was manufactured and subsequently purchased in Korea (21000 Won total) not Hong Kong.

btw: The transfer is fine. The sound also has DTS.
