007 Ultimate Box Set!

This is soooooo cool!

What is especially interesting to note is that amazon lists the box set as containing 40 discs total (each Bond film being a 2-disc DVD release). Restored with a "breakthrough digital process" by Lowry Digital, both picture and sound will be greatly improved. They will all feature DTS 5.1 surround sound, and each will feature loads of new extras including "never before seen footage" and "Top Secret Files" on "The Bond Women" and "Exotic Locations." In addition, former 007 Sir Roger Moore has recorded audio commentaries for all of his seven James Bond films.

Didn't click the link, but how much do you want to bet the combination is 007?

It is a cool set, but the sad part about ongoing series like James Bond is that there'll always be bigger and better sets being released. And even if nothing would ever beat this set it'll still be incomplete in no time.

Well, it will be complete if you hate the new guy. BTW, I'll give him a chance, but I'm highly skeptical. That said, I know what I want for Xmas next year! That box is simply excellent, it works to about $386 US, comes in under $20 a movie, not horrible, just the agony of paying upfront. i see they will be sold seperatly, so you don't have to get the whole thing for the improved A/V quality on your favorites.

It'd be nice to be able to buy the case separately

It may be worth waiting to see what (if anything) R1 does.

Only Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies are. Licence to Kill appears not to be.

Basing this entirely on the covers piratehunter linked to.

Love that case, pretty cool looking. Just what I need, another oddball sized case to fit on my video shelves.
