The Twilight Samurai
Does anyone have a recommendation on a good version of this film? The R1 is a disgrace. It’s one of the worst transfers I’ve seen on DVD!
DVDBeaver suggest the Shochiku version, but it seems to be out of print. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks. P.S. If you haven’t seen this film, do so. It’s fantastic!

I've only seen the US version. Great movie though.
I don't know if any of the other releases are any better, I couldn't find any notes saying the R3 version is different.

The R3 has good picture and sound, comparable to the R2 Japan,
but there are very little extras compared to the deluxe Japanese one.
