Hollywood Lacks Creativity In Some Areas

Please don't get me wrong on this subject but why is it that hollywood seems to invest money in so many unnecessary projects? I not pinpointing anything like "Glitter" though. I just read that there's a planned remake of 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre'. Why? Is there really a need to remake this classic? Another example would be the remake of 'Psycho'. What was wrong with the original?

The disturbing trend of old television shows to movies also puzzles me. Do we really need to tarnish memories of shows we loved? Flintstones? Beverly Hillbillies? Not to mention the plans to make a Jetsons movie. What the?!?!

So how about folks? What do you think? I understand that some people may enjoy remakes and old tv shows into movies but where do you draw the line? What's next...a remake of 'Gone with the Wind' or how about 'Cheers: The Movie'? Just wondering about everyone elses opinion. Later.

Now Cheers the movie...that would be sweet. Or how about "Saved by the Bell: The Motion Picture", or a live action combined with CGI smurfs :barf:

Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake=

I've also heard about a Garfield live action movie being made. Good God why? Especially now that Lorenzo Music (Garf's original voice) is dead.
And does anyone remember the Tom and Jerry Movie?? I didn't either until I stumbled upon it while looking through the Leonard Maltin video guide book!
Just because an idea "sounds cool" doesn't mean that you should give the original product the finger, and invest millions in it, hoping that enough mindless saps will see it.

Well, if someone didn't get it in their head to remake "the Honeymooners," a show beloved by many, there'd never be a "Flinstones" in the first place

The only "original" thing to come out of Hollywood is the accounting.
