I'm not sure what to say about google searches on hd-dvd and blu-ray. If it doesn't translate into sales, I would say it doesn't really matter. Perhaps one side is more interested in news than the other.

DING DING DING! We have a winner!

That's what I was thinking. If interested in news, it's kinda safe to say you are researching and if that's the case, HD DVD is of more 'interest'. To me that translates into a potential 'buying interest'.

For some reason I find it an interesting graph and since all the speculation provided here is clearly 2:1 in favor of HD DVD (Taxi gave me that stat, really. Honest. Uhmm, yep...he did) it seems to me HD DVD has far more interest than Blu-Ray and thus is the........WINNER!

Ok, I lied. I'm dog tired from this night shift work put me on and should probably go try and catch some zzzz's.

Thanks for the first reply to this thread Ganthc!

Not sure how much interest = purchasing. I do a lot of web hits on the Jeep site looking at the new Jeeps out there, but that doesn't mean I'm in the market to buy one. It's not always about research, as a lot of those hits might be hd-dvd fans looking for new stories on hd-dvd, and ditto for blu-ray fans on bd.
