Hear, hear!

I truly appreciate the civil tone that this board has and it's become one of my favorite places to visit on the net. It's like a breath of fresh air compared to the bilge that fills most unmoderated newsgroups.

Thanks to the admins for taking the necessary actions to keep this a pleasant and informative place to talk about DVDs and movies.

From now on we'll be quicker to act against people that show this type of behavior. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me...

We want this board to have an atmosphere where friends can talk about their favorite hobby and we'll work harder to maintain that in the future.

Thank you. It's a great move, and it will really improve things in your already great forums. Much appreciated.

Although I hope that we can still debate and argue whenever the situation arises...the kid was starting to get on my nerves royally. Sad part is, I get the feeling JSpartan didn't really understand how obnoxious he was. I'd bet that in his mind, he thought he was being honest, and we were just afraid of such honesty.

Sometimes, through the vitriol, he'd make an interesting point. Maybe not a good point, but an interesting one.

I'm not sad he's gone, but when he grows up and understands the difference between debate and inflammatory statements, I wouldn't mind seeing him back...

Don't worry about that. We really do enjoy and encourage spirited debate around here!

Just don't try to tell us that DTS is analog over and over again.

Really the only rules around here are: be truthful, and don't attack other people. If you can do that, then there won't be any problems.

I honestly didnt have a problem with Jspartan. I had a rather interesting discussion with him on this site, and he did tone down after he was warned. Also, it doesnt take much for him to register under a different name, unless his isp wont be accepted by this site.

Well, I had a useless discussion along with others with him about how DTS was not analog. He just seemed intent on screaming and hollering against reality. He seemed rather crude then. Then, I found out he's being stirring up a ruckus in the Star Wars topic (I don't really read this topic) and has been kicked for it. I looked over in the Star Wars posts he was involved in and it seems that though he did tone himself down sometimes, he also seemed to need to be constantly reminded to do so; and repeatedly. That and his penchant for arguing and getting ornery with the admins. Doesn't mix for a good situation on his part.

Well, we have blocked his IP, so re-registering, while not impossible, won't be easy.
We have also removed his last inflammatory topic (maybe you have read it while it lingered in here) from this section because we feel its content is insulting and we don't want anybody feel uncomfortable on this board.

I will close down this thread as well since I think it is time to move on.
But anyway, I want to thank you all for your support, your understanding of the situation and of our actions.
I hope we will all continue to have as much fun in the future as we had in the past.
