Hollywood DVD Store In Northern California

Hey All

Went to the Hollywood DVD store in Concord California this weekend for the first time. I must say, I was VERY impressed. Tons and tons of titles for rent and purchase with prices comperable to Best Buy. And the best thing about it...NO VHS AT ALL! They also had a pretty big selection of previously viewed DVD's with an average price of $14.00.

I talked with the person behind the counter and she said it was a proto-type store and the only one in California. She said there are another four in the country buy didn't tell me exactly where. She said they are doing pretty well which means Hollywood Video will probably start to open more of them as the business increases.

If you have one in your area, check it out.

Remember if you support BLockbuster and Hollywood, you support two-tier rental pricing of DVD.

If you live in Concord area, I recomend DVD Depot located in Pleasant Hill (Behind Lamps Plus).

Don't hold your breath for any more Hollywood DVD store's this year. Hollywood has frozen store opening for at least a year due thier financial situation.

They have just re-stuctured their main debt, so unfortunately there may be hope for their future.

Not sure of the address. I come down from Pittsburg so I know it's in the area of Concord where Bed Bath's and Beyond is. I think you take the Monument exit.
