Camera Angles

Several years ago a friend of mine played a DVD of THE RIGHT STUFF on his computer, and was able to change camera angles over a 180 degree spread. I tried the same thing on my new DVD player, connected to a TV, and got nada, even though my player provides for various camera angles. This is the ONLY "special effect" I consider worth 10 cents more than a VCR. Explanation?

Can I assume that you tried this with the same DVD title ??? Not all discs have multiple angle shots. In fact, the only people who use multiple angles are the folks who make porno movies. (So I hear)

Also, only specific sections of a movie will have that feature. If you're comparing apples to apples, that is looking at the same scene of the same disc, then your player might be the problem. Or...you haven't learned how to use all the functions properly.

We'll need a bit more info to diagnose. Also....moving this to the Software section, where this question is more appropriate.
