What is the best player for around $400.00

Hi,
I am looking into buying another DVD player. I am considering the Sony 550 or the Toshiba 3109. Any opinions/suggestions?

Thanks.

I would recommend the Sony if it was last years' model, but I would never recommend a Toshiba. Toshiba has brought a new meaning to the words "Firmware Upgrade". I love Toshiba's VCRs and TVs, however, I haven't been to pleased with their DVD players. Sony is the best when it comes to their earlier models, but their most recent players have had several reports with audio lip synch problems.
If you can find an older Sony, go for it. If you can't, I would recommend the Proscan DVD player at Circuit City for $329.
