Toshiba DVD TOSHIBA 2008

You guys saved me after months of stress. For months I have had wierd sound cut outs while playing various DVD's? I thought it was my New Sony STR 835.

One question when they do a firmware upgrade what do they do exactly?

The firmware is just a chip (like a computer chip) in the player that they remove and replace with an upgraded version.

It's a play on the words software and hardware. But since it's not a computer they came up with a different term. Not sure what it's origin is.

Hope that makes sense.
