An adapter?

Hi this might be a bit confusing but I need some help with this....I have a very very very nice set of Altec lansing surround sound speakers hooked up to my computer....When i go to college at the end of this week I'm gonna wanna wire these speakers into the back of my dvd player but the problem is my speakers have just 1 spot for an input and it is one of those narrow input wires....and the out put on my dvd takes 2 wires and both are different sizes from the input into my speakers......do they sell any type of adapter to fix this situation? If so could you please tell me the name of it and where I might be able to readily purchase one such adapter.
thanks

You might want to try Radio Shack. You'll need a cable that converts the left and right RCA outs to a stereo mini plug in.

Hope that works.
