Could be your player is overheating.
Is it getting adequate ventilation? Or is it ontop or below another source of heat like a receiver? If not, you might want to try aiming a fan at it and see if this keeps it from happening. If so, they you have to decide if you want to take it in for service or see how long this stop gap action (the fan) works. ------------------ -David |

hey, move your primestar receiver. i had mine on top of my receiver and it was overheating the receiver to the point it'd shut off (the receiver). once i moved it everything went back to normal. those things must put out a huge amount of heat, or not ventilate it very well.

Can you try playing the disc on another player? If the disc is defective, you should see problems on the other player as well. If the disc plays fine elsewhere, at least you know it is the player.
