EYE-TREK Home Theater Glasses
This looks cool, for around 849 or 500 (there's two models) bucks you can wear your TV. They claim it's the equivalent of watching a 62" tv from 6 1/2 feet away. http://www.olympus-eye-trek.com/overview.htm
from the Faq: 7. To what kind of equipment can Eye-Trek be connected? Eye-Trek can handle any NTSC video source, for example, television, VCR, LaserDisc player, DVD player, game console, camcorder etc. The equipment only needs a video-output. (Please be aware that some televisions lack a video-output.) 8. How is the Eye-Trek connected to my video source? Both models use a standard RCA video jack. The FMD-150W also allows for S-Video connection. back to top 9. What is the aspect ratio? The height to length ratio of the images is 4:3 for both models, the same as the classic TV format. The FMD-150W also allows for 16:9 wide screen aspect ratio. back to top 10. Can I see wide format DVD in the 4:3 mode? Yes, the image will appear in "letter-box" mode. Has anyone here seen this close up? ------------------ Administrator joe@dvdfile.com My Web Site [This message has been edited by 1138 (edited 01-07-2001).] |

I fixed the image link. Looks interesting. I'm curious at how the quality would be and if it is fine for extended periods of time. I've heard that ssimilar products can be hard on the eyes for long periods of time.
