Cheap PLayer Recomendations

What DVD player would you suggest I get my girlfirend for christmas? She has a 19 inch TV and no reciever. I was thinking about a budget Toshiba (possibly SD-2700 for $170). I have an SD-1600 and it works great.

I don't really have a recommendation (I've got an RCA player from Circuit City about a year and a half ago, out of the box for 150, and I'm still happy with it.)
I do have an anti-recommendation:
APEX, from all that I've seen (here and from a friend) it's an affordably priced machine, that you really should avoid at all costs.
